AC MUENCH (HE/THEY)

The two greatest things you can ask for from a bassist are reliability and adaptability—and that's just what AC Muench brings to the table. With almost 15 years of experience on upright and electric bass and a bachelor's degree from Berklee College of Music, AC has spent the last few years working as a professional musician. They take pride in their strong sight-reading and vast range of styles—from orchestral to funk fusion to blue grass—that they've cultivated from years of playing with diverse and talented musicians. He just finished working at the Weathervane Theatre in NH, returning for his fourth season to perform in rotating repertory through October. They play shows of every style, from Jesus Christ Superstar to A Chorus Line, and on nights when they aren’t in the pit they’re working the box office helping patrons and selling tickets! Outside of the musical theater realm, AC has also worked as a session musician recording tracks for numerous albums. His most recent appearances are on Autumn Pryor’s 2022 Single “Find A New Beginning” (where he featured on electric bass), and Stewart Mitchell's Secondhand Sunlight album (where they are featured in four tracks on upright bass). They have experience in studios as well as at-home recordings, having learned how to record and mix over quarantine so they could continue playing with others even from afar.
