AC Muench is a freelance musician, specializing in upright and electric bass. A recent graduate from Berklee College of Music, they have been playing for over thirteen years and are well versed in a number of different styles, ranging from classical to funk. AC is also a skilled sight reader, something they put to use in their work as a freelance session musician often. They’re most recently credited as the bassist on Julia Fortman’s debut single “I Know Nothing About Love,” as well as their work on upright for The Ghost Caravan’s single “The Sea + The Sky.” They have also done session work in film scoring, mostly with Berklee’s Film Scoring Orchestra recording projects for film scoring majors, but also working on individual projects. Outside of their session work, AC also works as a pit musician. For the past two years they have been the bassist for the Weathervane Theatre in New Hampshire, and they will be returning again for the theatre’s 56th Season. One of the few theaters approved by Actor’s Equity for live performance during the Covid-19 crisis, AC worked with a talented cast of performers in a rotating repertoire from August through October, performing a total of four shows – “Nice Work If You Can Get It,” “Heathers: The Musical,” “Little Shop of Horrors,” “The World Goes Round” – and two musical reviews – “Top of the Charts” and “Broadway Road Trip.”
